WAYS TO GET CARE

Find the level of care that fits

Most people who search for mental health treatment are not sure how much support they need. Here is what we offer in Orange County, starting with our main program.

Virtual IOP

Our main program: small groups plus individual therapy, from one treatment plan. Three hour sessions, three to five days a week (9 to 15 hours), with more structure than weekly therapy and without stepping away from work or home. Groups meet by video; individual sessions can be by video or in Fountain Valley. Virtual IOP in Orange County

Evening IOP

The same program on the evening track, 5 PM to 8 PM Pacific, Monday to Friday, for people who work during the day. Evening IOP

EMDR therapy

A structured trauma therapy, offered as part of the program, by video or in person with the NeuroTek EyeScan lightbar. About EMDR

Medication management

When medication is part of your care in the program, our Medical Director, Dr. Joe DeSanto, MD, evaluates, prescribes and adjusts it, by video or in person. How medication management works

Individual, family and couples therapy

Sessions with your therapist at least once a week in the program, and with the people closest to you when the work involves them. Our services

Weekly therapy

60 minute sessions on their own, by video or in person, with evening times available, for people who do not need a program. Therapy at Kin

Weekly therapy or an IOP?

Weekly therapy can be enough when daily life is mostly on track and one hour a week gives you the support you need. An IOP is worth a look when weekly sessions have not been enough, when symptoms are getting in the way of work or home, or when you are stepping down from residential care or a partial hospitalization program. If you are not sure, call us and we will talk it through with you.
