MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES · CALIFORNIA
The care we offer, and how it fits together
Kin Wellness is a virtual intensive outpatient program for adults in California. Inside the program you get EMDR, medication management, and individual, family, and couples therapy, all from one team that talks to each other.
Most care happens by video, and we also see people in person at our Fountain Valley office. Most major PPO and HMO plans. New clients can start right away.
One team, not five referrals
Every service on this page comes from the same small team, working from one treatment plan.
Your therapist, your group clinicians, and your prescriber talk to each other, so nothing depends on you repeating your story.
Licensed in California. By video anywhere in the state, or in person at our office in Fountain Valley.
WHAT WE OFFER
Start with the program, add what you need
VIRTUAL IOP
Our main program. Three hour sessions of small group and individual care, three to five days a week, on a morning or evening track. More structure than weekly therapy, without stepping away from work or home. How the program works
EMDR THERAPY
A structured trauma therapy that helps distressing memories carry less charge. Individual sessions by video or in person in Fountain Valley, as part of the program. About EMDR
MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
When medication is part of your care, our Medical Director, Dr. Joe DeSanto, MD, evaluates, prescribes, and adjusts over time, in step with your therapist. Choosing not to take medication is a real option too. About medication management
ALONGSIDE THE PROGRAM
Therapy with the people around you, and a plan for after
Individual, family, and couples therapy
At least once a week
One to one sessions with your therapist, and sessions with the people closest to you when the work involves them.
Aftercare planning
Before you finish
We plan what comes next with you: the right step down in care, who you will see, and what to keep practicing. You leave with a plan, not just an end date.
Inside the program, individual sessions happen at least once a week, and the aftercare plan is built with you before the program ends. Weekly therapy is also available on its own: Therapy at Kin · How the program works
INSURANCE AND COST
Most major PPO and HMO plans
We work with most major PPO and HMO plans, including Cigna, Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Carelon, UMR, Meritain, Halcyon, GEHA, and Multiplan. Private pay is also available. Before you commit to anything, we check your benefits and tell you what is covered and what your care would cost. Verify your insurance.
By video, anywhere in California. Most of our care happens over secure video, from wherever you can close a door.
In person in Fountain Valley. Our office is at 8780 Warner Ave, Ste 11, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, for EMDR, medication appointments, and anyone who prefers to come in.
Morning or evening. 9 AM to 12 PM or 5 PM to 8 PM Pacific, Monday through Friday, so most people keep working.
30 to 90 days. How long you take part is set by what you need and what your insurance authorizes, and you leave with an aftercare plan.
